Firstly, player <-> nickname mappings:
Secondly, some meta-info:
22nd of June, about 18:20hs: the server opens.
When the story started, whether and which alliances would be formed was unclear. I decided to join Galu and Lucho instead of joining
santi's Al Qaeda alliance; which ended up being the biggest nothing-burger I'd seen in some time. He planned to amass a force of
~10 people in his alliance alone, a near-impossible endeavour, and so he ended up alone (at least for the beggining of the server). But I digress.
Upon the start of the server (after doing the typical survival start of getting iron equipment), I began making my way to the designated coordinates
to make our base with Lucho and Galu, (-23K; -23K) - which had to be done by boat and on foot because the nether was disabled - with João Pablo,
the blue chicken I found and took with me in the middle of the ocean;
(literally, he was found floating on the ocean, nearest land was 810 blocks away) most of the way I traversed by boat, appreciating the combination of the beautiful world
generation provided by the Tectonic mod/datapack and the stunning graphics from the
Photon shader. Lucho picked the spot [-23K; -23K] because of two reasons; firstly, it's a middle-of-the-road distance
between being close to spawn, and the world border; plus, it was going to be a temporary base, and the true base would be located either much farther away (think -50K; -50K),
or in a separate dimension altogether. (i.e. he planned to build a base in the End dimension) The plan was to use it to equip ourselves, and then double as a decoy base
for when we'd've left.
On the second day of the server, I arrived at the spot [-23K; -23K]
(picked by Lucho)
and met Galu (who'd gotten there faster, on the first day) and began working on the base, (Lucho arrived shortly after); meanwhile general discussions among the
rest of the members were taking place, because in spite of the server having already started, the "rules" of it and other conventions were not yet defined.
Now, back to me and "The Alliance", we were doing the typical work,
planting crops, making a villager farm, etc. The first couple days of the server were quite uneventful and peaceful.
That's foreshadowing. Me, Lucho, and Galu
kept working on the base and equipment.
Not too long after, the Nether was enabled early thanks to a referendum, but more importantly, the biggest disagreement
in the server was now clear:
Martu and Diego wanted the server members to all live (i.e. have their bases) close together (I assume that's why they built theirs right nexto to spawn) and
live in peace and harmony. This, however, was categorically incompatible with the intents of the two most powerful players in the server: me, and more importantly, Lucho
(who is the server administrator).
Note: At this point, Lucho planned to let the server grow and progress for a while, maybe a month, and then when everyone was stronger and better equipped, declare war on them,
and ultimately destroy the server. I was made aware of this. I, as well, intended to partake. But I digress, this plan was for the later/last stages of the story.
Of course, me and Lucho weren't about to disclose our actual intentions with the rest of the server (even Galu, in spite of him being our ally), but that wasn't necessary. The rest
of the server members disagreed with Martu's and Diego's envisioning of what the server should be, though nothing tangible came from this "great disagreement", for now.
However, one way or another, sooner or later, once or more than once, whether by whom I expected it to be or not, the seed of evil was soon to be planted. For now, though,
everything kind of is all roses, albeit rather uneventful. One remarkable thing I can remember off the top of my head is the theft of a mending villager from Martu and Diego's house,
I did it, in the middle of the night, dragging that villager 4.5km across the Nether roof, unexpected, undetected.
The next day when Martu and Diego logged in to their Mending for 10 emeralds villager missing, I blamed Teo.
On the 25th of June, about two hours before midnight, the first true and blatant act of war was committed.
Santi (who was de facto allied with Magnus) had been planning to blow up Martu, Juanma, and Diego's base, hoping to stir up conflict. I tried to talk Santi out of it more than once, because
I feared that such an act would "kill the server" (by that I mean upsetting (in this case) Martu and Diego (and maybe Juanma) to the point of quitting, which is not what we wanted); but alas, Lucho (the admin)
gave him the green light, Santi and I made our way to Martu and Diego's base with lava, TNT, obsidian, etc, and laid waste to it before fleeing. Conflict, disharmony, and tension had successfully been seeded.
This was done when all other server members were offline (they were at Galu's house IRL watching a football game) save for me, Santi, and Magnus. Upon the realization, arguments ensued, and it was decided that
Galu and Lucho would give refuge to Martu, Juanma, and Diego at the base (at -23k; -23k). Magnus and Santi asked me to be their ally. I considered it, but I was with Lucho and Galu. Alas, I phoned Lucho and made him aware of all the events, and also disclosed an idea:
I de facto betray him and Galu, leaving our Alliance and going with Magnus and Santi. Lucho agreed, as it would only serve to bring more conflict and war (whic is what he wanted). So it was to be done.
After Lucho gave me the green light, I arrive at "our" base (at -23k; -23k), executed Diego, and ran off with Magnus and Santi. Despite of Lucho being all illuminati and shit as the server admin and being aware,
as far as the rest of the server was concerned, the second great power in the server (myself) was now in a new alliance, at an unknown location, with unknown plans. Back to my POV, with Santi and Magnus:
we set out to go to settle on a far away base. We ended up going to ~50k, ~50k, and began digging. And about 10 times, every time we were happy with the size of the bunker, Magnus decided to make it bigger. And bigger.
I think he planned to put a mixture of self-sufficient base facilities (including but not limited to: trading hall(s), farms, big storage areas) and a majestic throne room. This was approximately 4/5 the size, althouth it ended up being a bit bigger:
That's what we were working on for a couple days, just digging. In between all that, they killed the Ender Dragon and I snatched the egg:
(The Elytras were gifted to me by Teo, because I gave them
an end portal for their base (because eneder eyes were bugged and it was impossible to find a stronghold the normal way), which contrary to their later assumption, did not help me locate their base (I tp'd there, but did not snatch the coordinates; I like to keep the sportsmanship were possible.))
